To protect against data loss, our servers are equipped with technology that automatically mirrors all data in real-time to two separate locations. Regular incremental and full backups of all system data are performed, including off-site data backups stored in two separate secure physical locations, to protect against almost all disaster scenarios.

Douglas has been with the firm since January 2007.
He has been working with a wide variety of clients, from small family-owned businesses to high net worth individuals, with their estate, tax, business, and personal planning for more than 35 years. Prior to starting his own CPA firm, he worked for Price Waterhouse & Co., and was the controller for the Lake Placid 1980 Olympic Winter Games. He also has the experience of operating thirteen businesses between his wife, three children, and his own entities in their family enterprises.
Douglas is a consultant and principal in American Business Transitions, Inc., an organization dedicated to helping family business owners. He is also a partner in Adirondack Asset Management, LLC, a personal financial planning and investment management firm.
Douglas received his BS in Accounting from SUNY Plattsburgh and his MBA from the University of Connecticut. He has also been accredited with the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Pam began working in the accounting field upon her graduation from high school in 1973 when she was hired by Henry Gelles, a local attorney/public accountant, to learn the preparation of payroll, payroll tax reports, sales tax, and bookkeeping. She was promoted to accountant when Mr. Gelles sold his practice to Douglas L. Hoffman, CPA in 1981, at which time she began to learn the preparation of individual & business tax returns and financial statements. She remained on staff when Mr. Hoffman merged his practice with Hoffman & Eells CPAs, P.C. in 2007 and has been with the firm ever since.
Her areas of expertise include tax, bookkeeping, and compilations & reviews of financial statements.
In her community, Pam volunteers with the Saranac Lake Rotary Club.
She has over a decade of banking and lending experience, having worked as a customer service representative and assistant branch manager/lender.
Her areas of expertise include QuickBooks, bookkeeping, and individual & corporate taxation.
Jessica graduated from North Country Community College in 2005 with a degree in Liberal Arts & Science. She is currently pursuing her BS in Accounting at Southern New Hampshire University and hopes to become licensed as a CPA soon after graduation.
Jessica is also a Notary Public, and serves as chair of the Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
